I'm a senior software developer based in Lancashire, UK, with around nine years' experience spanning network infrastructure and software development. Working primarily in C# and .NET, most of my career has been spent building internal systems for operations-heavy businesses: the billing, quoting, stock and monitoring tools that keep a company running day to day, plus the integrations that connect them to address databases and other external services.
I also have a hands-on networking background, which tends to help when the software has to talk to real infrastructure. I'm always happy to hear about interesting problems — get in touch below.

Built a usage-based billing and invoicing system that replaced manual reconciliation, cutting billing turnaround from weeks to a couple of days.
Quotation & order management
Led end-to-end delivery of a quotation-to-order platform with configurable pricing and approval workflows — the largest project I've owned to date — replacing an error-prone, email-based process.
Stock & inventory systems
Built real-time stock visibility across multiple sites, with a full audit trail that let operations teams trace discrepancies in minutes instead of hours.
Operational dashboards
Built monitoring dashboards and alerting that gave an ops team a single view of status and faults, cutting time-to-detection on incidents.
Event-driven alert processing
Worked on an event-driven pipeline on Azure Service Bus that receives device alerts, processes them and archives them.
Third-party API integrations
Integrated third-party APIs, including postcode lookup, directly into day-to-day workflows, removing manual lookup steps for front-line staff.
Legacy modernisation
Migrated a legacy ASP.NET WebForms system onto a modern .NET foundation incrementally, avoiding a risky big-bang rewrite.
Automated reporting
Built automated reporting pulling directly from billing, stock and monitoring data, eliminating a recurring manual spreadsheet exercise for the team.
